Bikram yoga is more than just exercise. It is a tool that transforms every aspect of your physical body, your mind and your spirit. I began my journey with Bikram yoga when I was seeking a new direction in my life and found that it is a tool that opens closed doors, breathes fresh air into stale routines, and brings greater joy, focus and self-awareness.
Through a simple yet challenging sequence of postures performed in a heated studio Bikram, also known as hot yoga, systematically works every muscle, nerve and cell of your body. There are no prerequisites and you don’t need any special equipment. Students of all ages, sizes, shapes, fitness levels and backgrounds practice together on an equal footing. As Bikram says: “Never too late, never too old, never too bad.”
Bikram yoga is an exceptional total-body workout. With regular practice you will lose weight, build strength, increase flexibility, and heal injuries. More importantly, it builds mental strength and discipline which gives you greater energy into your everyday life. My students find their confidence and concentration blossoms as their practice develops, bringing them new clarity and joy.
