I’ve had lots of requests for recipes from the Yoga Holiday retreat so here goes! These yummy carob biscuits (or cookies, depending on your country of origin!) were one of our favourite sweet treats. They’re packed with healthful ingredients for guilt-free enjoyment.


A big thanks to Elke for sharing her hand-written version of the recipe with me so I could post it for all of you 🙂


  • 2 1/2 cups almond, cashew or walnut flour (or a blend)
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/4 cup carob
  • 1/2tsp salt
  • 1tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil


  1. Preheat oven to 175C
  2. Mix together all the dry ingredients in a bowl
  3. Mix all the remaining ingredients separately
  4. Combine the two mixtures
  5. Spoon onto a baking tray covered in greaseproof paper
  6. Bake 15-18 minutes
