For those of you or, ahem, us, who celebrated New Year’s Eve with something a little stronger than coconut water here is an easy smoothie recipe with some fabulous hangover cure ingredients.

Ginger settles your stomach, coconut milk provides electrolytes and comforting yet healthy fats, the berries supply vitamins and antioxidants and the banana tops up your potassium levels and is sweet and comforting.

Ginger-berry smoothie:

250ml Kara coconut milk
150g frozen mixed berries
1 med banana (I chop mine up and pop it in the freezer first – this makes for a creamier ‘milkshake’ style smoothie)
1/2 chunk fresh ginger
dash cinnamon to taste

Add all ingredients to blender and whizz till smooth. Cheers!
